On Bonfire Night, the British people remember Guy Fawkes. On 5th November 1604, he wanted to blow up the Houses of Parliament and kill James I. On Bonfire Night British people make a guy with old clothes, straw or paper and burn it on the bonfire. They also watch a firework display. Children play with sparklers and rockets. Students in the 4th level have celebrated this festival making a nice rocket at the English class. They enjoyed the activity very much!We also made our own guy at school! LA NOCHE DE LAS HOGUERAS
En la Noche de las Hogueras, los británicos recuerdan al personaje de Guy Fawkes. El día 5 de noviembre de 1604, intentó volar por los aires el parlamento británico para así matar al rey .
Este día se hacen peleles con viejas prendas de vestir rellenos de papel, paja ... que luego queman en la hoguera. El día acaba con una exhibición de fuegos artificiales. Los niños juegan con bengalas, cohetes, petardos. Comida típica en este día son los perritos calientes y las manzanas caramelizadas, entre otros.
LA NOCHE DE LAS HOGUERAS EN EL CARMELO CORTÉS
Los alumnos de 4º curso han celebrado esta festividad británica realizando un cohete como manualidad dentro del área de inglés, actividad con la que disfrutaron mucho.
¡Tambien hicimos nuestro propio pelele en el cole! Los alumnos de 6º hicieron un pelele con ropa vieja relleno de papeles de periódico y un sombrero de cartulina para celebrar este día. ¡Se lo pasaron genial!
